Life in Walnut Creek, Lafayette and surrounding areas: 'How to' Video if you want to WEAR your iPhone

'How to' Video if you want to WEAR your iPhone

I like to wear my iPhone around my neck.  I don't like having to dig into pockets or a purse to use it and I can't tolerate a bluetooth earpiece.  Not only is it convenient for me to have it easily accessible, it's a security and safety issue to know I have it on me at all times.  It's especially handy during Open Houses and previewing homes because I can leave my purse at home and not worry about it being stolen.  I have so many women Realtors comment on it and ask where they can get one.  So, here's a little video tutorial on what you will need to make your own.  The phone case that I mention in the video that I like is Case-Mate.

If any questions, please feel free to comment, call or send me an email.  Enjoy!

Terri, that was a very informative and well done video.  I should show my wife because she is always asking me to call her cell phone to see where she left it.  ;-)

Rick - thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, women will LOVE this! You can mix and match the lanyards and phone cases to match outfits you're wearing. I love it most for the convenience and security.

Hi Terri ~ Really well done video.  Re wearing your phone - it seems like a super idea if only because you're more likely to answer it. The agent in my market who is most likely to answer her phone wears hers.

Hi Terri - is there a case that would allow wearing the phone is the true vertical position? That would allow a semi-secret video to be made as one walks around a crowd... Just wonderin'

Liz and Patrick - thanks for stopping by and commenting. Liz...yes, it's hard to miss a call when it's hanging around my neck. Like comment #1, I also like the hands-free part very much. Patrick...this does hang in the vertical position, but I think I know what you mean...you want it more level in the vertical position? I am not aware of one and it would probably jiggle too much to capture a good video. Maybe stick and secure it in your shirt pocket with the camera end facing out? I also like the badges that the Apple Store employees wear and have asked numerous times if they could make a phone case like that...haven't seen it yet though! Ha!

That might work... I thought of velcro too, but with teh iPhone, the ON/OFF button is on the opposite side from the lens, so that might not do it...

Will keep working on it...

Thnaks!

Maybe you should try a Jawbone Bluetooth earpiece? They make them so small now that I hardly feel it at all. In fact, I'm always worried that I might accidentally jump in the shower with my Jawbone.

Elizabeth - thanks for the suggestion and I'll check into it. I'm just spoiled at having the world dangling from my neck! Ha!

well this is a great idea so that you won't lose the phone.  Which can happen.  all we need now is an app that can be a name badge, and we can where it like a name tag! lol.

Joe, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I guess you could save your name as a jpg file and use it as your default screensaver! Ha!

Terri - great idea, and you are right about having your cell phone with you at all times (showing homes, open houses, etc).

Sharon - thanks for stopping by and commenting. It's a convenient way for me as I don't like to carry a purse when I'm out working. One of the best steaks I've ever had was in Newport Beach area...I think it was called the Bungalow on the Pacific Coast Highway. Beautiful area down there!

Interesting!  I never thought of that.  It would come in handy when you don't have any pockets!

I just had my phone stolen the other day because I put it down in order to be able to use both hands.  I had long thought about a "wearable" option, but of course never followed through.  Now I will certainly do so for my new phone and thank you for making such an informative video about it.  Time to shop...

Angela - I am so sorry to hear your phone got stolen! I also bought a little clutch-style purse that has a long chain on it. I wear it like a necklace. My phone slips in one side of it and the other side opens up for credit cards, license, and/or business cards. It's palm-size so small, but just perfect for my phone. I bought it at one of those accessory stores you find in the malls. It protects my phone a little better as well. Just a thought! Good luck to you and thanks for commenting!
